Lysander Wiering |
Netherlands |
|
Lysander Wiering developed himself through a master in Visual Anthropology at Leiden University in the Netherlands to become an independent film maker.
His interests are based on the hidden stories that take place outside the eye of the public. With his camera he studies the gutters of society with a special interest for the people who live and survive here. In these twilight worlds he meets individuals who give color to this gray area.
Lysander uses his visual anthropological background, especially as a method to tell the stories and to make his films. He tries to immerse himself in a world over a longer period of time to get to know the people and tell their stories from within.
